hello ray, I could say that STI 06 is a strong car for me, the regular maintenance if only $45 to $55 for synthetic oil mobil1, about the labor for maintenance i dont its not that expenssive compare to your car right now.the tire that comes for the STI 06 is not a ALL seasonal tires,i use my STI 06 to work and back home for about 50 miles a day 5 days a week i do change my oil every 2 and a half months or 3000 miles.as of now i never had a problem with my engine so i dont know how far it could get but i assure you STI 06 will take you long way for the rest of your race and normal driving.BENZ is a really nice car for me and i like Benz but sad to say i cant afford to maintain it. STI is good for all season coz of its 4WD and center Differencials that can make your ride smoother even on winter time..i am sure you will enjoy this car STI06 it has all you need for Day by Day Driving and Racing all in one.. hope i did answer your question Ray..

( va taxes around $1100 , tags 80 , dealer free $250 , extended warranty $2100 )

do you guys think it would be a good idea to buy an extended warranty on this car ( i mean they want $2100 ) 5 years and 100,000 miles warranty

i would be driving a lot ( 50,000 miles per year ) and if i get the car for 4 years . i will have around 200,000 miles —- soo i think its worth having the good extended warranty

First of All about the WRX and STI.before i say that what happened to me is that i buy a Subaru WRX 06 on April 06 if im correct and after 3 months from the time i have the car i change it to a Subaru STI 06,its funny coz i just got the WRX and 3 months after i got the STI.the Features of the new STI 07 is not the much.just only for interiors and same engine and power.the looks is same still.the handling is also the same.not talking about the STI 08 i really dont have that idea to go for 08 coz the STI 06 is enough for me.So it depends on you Ray,now the car STI stock engine has alots of Power and Can Beat alots of cars on the Street.if your a nice Driver with a Stock vs Stock engine Evo and STI i go for STI..and 350Z and CAMAROS and alots and lots of Cars you can Beat then in your Stock Engine Ray.If you costumize your STI men your the King of the Road make sure you have a Helmet with you,heheh… The STI is the Top of the Line Cars that can hold you breath and give you the driving you want. now Price Deffirence,Dude dont waste your money if in the future your still going to STI coz i did it already i wasted lots of money instead of putting it on your Car.Save your money buy STI then use it all there..ill Check on my Manual if whats the Gas Per Mile on STI 06..dude dont waste your time Go in the Dealer ASAP..

Alrite! Let’s be practical an Evo can never beat a WRX on dirt. But! Can the WRX beat it on streets? Give credit where it is due! The exhaust sounds electrifying from the WRX but the blow-off on the Evo is second to none! As u can see, I can’t decide.

I owned an Evolution 7 for 18 months, I have driven a friends Subaru STi (the wrx is slower than my Civic Type-R) The evo is a better drivers car whereas the STi is a much more comfortable place to be. The interior finish on a Subaru is better, however the seats dont offer as much support as the Evo’s. Anyone who tells you that one car is WAY better does not know what they are talking about. It depends what you want;
all out drivers car = Evo
day to day comfort = Subaru Sti
I lived happily with my evo and am about to order a new Evo 9.

Ray, I got a Scooby WRX (non STi.) 05. with Custom Exhaust (3,5 Inches) and 1BAR of Turbo boost and i can beat 350z.

so. remember, my car got a 2.0 liter engine only.
the new subarus got a 2.5 liter engine. so if u got a WRX 06 or 07 with a huge Exhaust line (like me) and a little more turbo boost (1 bar it’s ok and u go fastr) u can beat Stock 350z and G35, Mustangs GT, and a lot more.

but.. i’m going for a new Scooby STi black in march of this year (07).

my car have Stock Internals.( pistons, rods, etc.)
u can go safe with 17pick PSI (stock Turbocharger) Boost in a Stock Engine.
if u wanna go faster, u need forged internals and a best turbo..

but if u want a nice driving every day.. it would be ok a stock engine with 1 bar (15 psi) of boost and custom Exhaust line.

I have driven both cars. I think the STi is better at everything accept speed. I couldn’t even tell the difference but every article shows it. Therefore, the STi is better overall because those fractions of a second don’t matter on the street. Anyways, I would take everything minus a couple hundreths of a second over a couple hundreths of a second and nothing wouldn’t you?

Ladies and Gents lets be onest between the sti and evo there is only one that can stand out and that is the sti. Come on lets be real evo’s are nice wheels to have but sti’s are a must. Just look at WRC and all your answers will be answer. Even your sports car’s, this weekend i was at a car show in south africa and i saw cars there that is fast but you must spend thousands of bucks to get there where with a sti you are allready there. The evo’s look is nice but the sti that look of the car just mmmm!!! O yes and then i am in south arfrica i have a 06 sti and around here threre are not alot of cars that come close to the speed and handling of my sti (stock)

price wise the sti is the best for your money. i would like the evo 9 but to much money for plastic looking interior, the evo engine has more potential and dosnt look nice in stock form, where as the sti looks nice in stock form and dosnt ave potential as much as the evo.. evo is a harder ride and sti is a more in between for everyday driving. sti chassis is more advanced and superior then evo will be in years coz of sti mother company (aeroplanes) i think in time evo will be the better as it has more experience and has won more rally wrc then sti when sti wasn’t even born. most importantly wrc is for 2.0 ltr cars not 2.5 so that is the evos plus over sti as it is same speed as sti 2.5 or faster with 2.0. but am gonna buy an sti as it the better car at the moment and value for money

2.5 is better then 2.0 in bhp and torque but when someone competes with an 2.0 evo vs a 2.5 sti and are almost the same in performance then am sure you can see the winner clearly. some examples below, just add more or if you like to correct me wise ass (by da way dis is imo)

STi and Evo are 2 fantastic cars !!!!!! The Evo is a car for tuning, the STi not !!!!! You can take the STi to 400 Hp yes…but you have to spend more money then an Evo and you can’t make so many Km becouse the Boxer Motor, is not a motor for tuning !! If you want to modd the car doing many Km , buy an Evo ! If you don’t want to modd the car, the STi is better for me, and the Boxer sound IS FANTASTIC …expecialy with an Invidia Exhaust !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Guys … Once I asked an expert about which one is the best! He said that EVO’s can be easily modified and you can increase Hp easily and with less cost if you are going to reach the same Hp with a Subaru. As he said, an EVO is very easy car to be driven by every1, even teen ager and it does not need expert people. SUBARU needs some more advanced skills and it s 100% much more safer than an EVO. As for me, I drove both of them, SUBARU SIMPLY RULES ….. More enjoyable to be driven, looks better, handles better, safer, and about the acceleration and the speed, you can reach 1000 Hp on any car.. depends on ur moddds so again its about taste but all expert people say Subies tastes much more than Evo toys.

Cmon mate, your comparing “One” EVO against everyone elses STI. This guy has spent heaps on his car to gain that kind of performance. WOW he has over 700HP!! Big deal! He now has the pleaseure of refilling his tank everytime he reverses out the drive-way, definatly one of thos ppl with his head screwed on. Ive since last month test drove both STI and EVO and wud agree with some ppl and say that the STI does have understeer they need to correct (not a hard task). The EVO was great on highway but still didnt have as much fun on track as STI. At the end of the day, forget about the childish slander, “STI’s are best”, “EVO’s are best”, coz theyre pretty unintelligent posts. Maybe half the kids on this site should get thier license and really drive a car to know whats its like. I have driven both STI and evo as to the driving i like subaru in rally but in streetracing evo is a bit better for me.. But Supra is the best :))

Evo’s are cool, except the X, which sucks balls, and it’s ugly, has shitty stability and a downgrade performance from the IX. But I’d say an STI is hands down a more professionally tuned car, I mean come on, how many cars does mitsubishi make in awd? especially symmetrical?…I thought so, subaru comes standard with it on all models, well at least the ones in North America and Europe, then lets see performancewise they’re about the same Evo’s always been slower and is still slower inline, on a track, yes the evo was a better performer prior to 2008, the new STI kicks ass of any evo and STI ever built, search youtube for comparison tests between evo X and 08 STI. Awsome performance from the new STI, which was by the way tested and compared in every possible way to the prior STI and Evo IX MR, Evo X manual, Evo X auto, it ate them up starting out in 5th place, and finishing in 1st. Slalom and braking tests also showed that the new STI is much more improved, awsome handling. The new Evo X on the other hand is a nightmare, sloppy slalom test, not as good as 08 STI on braking, and it seems they gave up on the performance and started focusing on how to make the car interior more apealing. Why would anyone get this car for its interior? I personally loved the evo VIII and IX of all the evos but X? shouldn’t it be a better performer than a IX? and what’s with the auto gear box? that’s so gay. Automatic is for pple that’s can’t drive, or just lazy bastards, but why would you buy this car if you don’t know how to drive a manual or if you are a lazy fuck, get a lincoln, now that’s a couch on air and it’s automatic for your lazy convenience

SUBARU IMPREZA WRX Sti 2.5 litchfield type 25 is the best car ever, it has 415 horsepowers and its top speed is 280 kph/175 mph. its like a group N rally car. what else could you want.

the sti has a 6 speed standard the evo has a 5 speed standard which is better ??? the sti. the sti body was redesigned which looks better??? the evo. the evo has a standard 286 horspower turbocharged engine, the sti has a 310 horsepower turbocharged engine horizontally opposed engine, which is better ??? the sti. if you ever looked at the specs sheet for both its anyones guess which is better because they are so closly matched it comes down to the driver that determines which is better and that is the fact plain and simple. If anyone follows the subaru rally team, subaru has one more championships than the evo. but i like both because they are the best two rally cars ever because iv driven both cars and the rally cars.

Sti’ s are much better than evos. Stis won more world rally championships than any other manufacturer, I do think that the new sti is quite ugly compared tho the new evo. So if you want a great, reliable, and fast car, get an STI. If you want a car that looks like an angry ninja, get an evo. Its your choice realy.

Subaru has won more rally championships than mitsubishi hands down; and any other company for that matter. Though the evo beat the subaru in 2008 in performance tests and looks, that is only one year. Subaru has historically, and will always be, the dream rally car.

hello everyone!let me start off by saying that i owned a evo 9 mr for about 3 yrs and the end i had only HAD 18676 miles on it and the pully and hydrolic tencer stating having problems,in idle it made the horrific sound a loud clacking noise.i took it to the dealer they said they have been having issues with this yr modles on all they said that they can adjust it but no promises that it will stop.it also lost compresion already,i og wanted the sti but i couldent afford it at the time so i got the (2ND BEST THING),,,,SO I TRADED THAT SHIT IN FOR 06 BLACK KICK ASS STI WITH ONLY 12000 MILES ON IT IT WAS A LEASE RETURN A FUCKING VIRGIN NEVER TOUCHED SOME OLD DUDE HAD IT call me lucky go ahead i know.so know i installed a hks carbon exhuast systen and cold air intake and hks bloww off valve thats all so far by this yr ill be getting bronze works emotion wheels 17×9 ill send pix later as it progresses OH ONE MORE THING ANYONE HERE WHO HADE AN EVO OR DROVE ONE AND DROVE AN STI OR WRX,DIDNT U FIND UR SELF WANTING TO DRIVE THE STI MUCH MUCH MORE……LOL I DID
