About

Well. As you already noted - this website, ScoobyBlog, is about Subarus. Why “Scooby”, not “Subaru”? No, it’s not because of Scooby-Doo Great Dane. It’s because of the famous turbo Impreza’s roof scoop. Right now, I just don’t know what to add more - feel free to browse throught the blog and find some interesting Subaru related stuff ;)
Enjoy!

P.S.
By the way: if you have some interesting articles, news, videos, photos, whatever related to Subaru - let me know please(by dropping a comment below).

Does anyone know what rims (manufacturer and style) are on the blue STi at the top of this webpage? They look great! I’d like to know for my 2006 WRX. Thanks

I’d like to introduce you to auto-journals (www.auto-journals.com), a new web-site that offers a new and unique take on the automotive world.

The site merges some of the values of conventional magazines with the real life experience of car owners. The format offers a deeper insight than the fleeting glimpse of a one-off review. The focus is on performance cars and our latest edition is a Lamborghini Gallardo.

Perhaps you might like to review it, or reciprocate links and we’d welcome any Scooby owners who’d like to write about their cars

Hi.

“Hannah Dain parked her Subaru behind a stand of sun-faded palo verde.” Thus begins Spurred Ambition, the newest book in the Pinnacle Peak series by popular mystery writer and critically acclaimed author Twist Phelan.

Twist and her husband have owned four Subaru Outbacks — all LL BEAN Cold Weather editions, two red and two teal; as they say at the rodeo, their Subarus were rode hard and put away wet.

One winter the couple drove to every major cross-country ski resort in the Western United States, including two in Alaska. During a three-week mountain-bike trip across Indian Country, their Subaru’s tires never touched pavement—streams, rocks, and sand, but not asphalt. Never have they had any mechanical or other problems, not even a flat tire. And as frequent travelers, the “Subaru Outback” tops their list of the preferred car to rent.

So when it came time for Twist to choose a car for the protagonist for her Pinnacle Peak series (legal mysteries highlighting different endurance sports), the choice was obvious. Hannah Dain is gutsy, athletic, and adept at getting out of dicey situations … just like the car she drives: A Subaru Outback.

Browsing through your website, it is obvious that you have the same fervent passion for Subarus as Twist does. Because of your mutual interests, Twist would like to offer you a free review copy of her most recently released book, Spurred Ambition, featuring Hannah Dain and her Subaru. Considering the readers of your website, Twist’s books would be a great fit for a review, interview, or as a free give away to your readers (I can get you more if need be). If this is something that interests you, please feel free to contact me. I look forward to hearing from you.

For more information on this up-and-coming author, please visit www.twistphelan.com.

Regards,

Melissa

I haven’t seen any magazine comments on the 06 impreza line.
It is notable that the base impreza price dropped making it more of a value.
Also, the “Regal Blue Pearl” is gone in favor of “newport blue pearl”, a color lighter than Subaru’s WRX Blue. (my color!)

Also interesting is that the Civic SI’s are giong for well over sticker price, making them as expensive as an accord, and around the price range of the WRX TR

Great Blog.

Have you come across the tv commercial featuring a Subaru Legacy and a Samurai warrior? I saw it once during the British Europsort coverage of the WRC in late 2005/ early 2006.

I also saw a cool commercial over the weekend. It was for leasing Subarus and out of nowhere this guy opens his car door and a legacy swerves around it…
I was in the room with 2 others, and there was a collective “oh shit!”

hah…

Saw this build up on a GC8, to Supercharge the car. It looks like a very extensive build up and is still not complete. Thought it would be of interest, since I haven’t seen anything like it before. It looks like a ton of work is going into the project.

Have you thought about switching to a different hosting provider? Your site seems to have constant problems. Also, I’m co-founder of a web design company and I’d be interested in lending a hand with the site if you’re interested.

Thanks!

That’s understandable. We use GoDaddy for the domain registration and DNS for Fresh Logic Studios, but we use The Planet for hosting the servers. If you ever decide to change I highly recommend them. They’re very inexpensive and have been top notch as far as up time.

Let me know if I can do anything to help.

Thanks!

Title:
2008 Subaru WRX STI Performance Enthusiast Release Party

Description:

Subaru unveiled the 2008 Subaru WRX STI in Irvine, CA at K1 Speed to performance enthusiasts before the car’s official launch at the LA Auto Show. Enthusiasts had the opportunity to get up-close and … sit in the 2008 STI. In addition to providing them with this opportunity, Subaru handed out Subaru shwag and free laps on the karting track.

Hello,

I’m a college student at Purdue Univ. and I’m doing a market research project on Subaru Impreza’s. I was wondering if I could possibly ask you a couple of questions about the car? You have a well-mapped website with alot of information.

My email address is brittany2nice@yahoo.com.

If you can just email me and let me know if you you’ll be interested in taking part in a couple of questions that would be great!!

Hi!

I really enjoy your site! I use one of the wallpapers for my computer background. :D

I run a subaru blog too and was wondering if you would like to exchange links? I will be putting up a section with links to similar sites. My blog deals with performance parts reviews, tuning, news, and getting to know various subaru freaks across the U.S. and the world by writing about local meets and doing interviews.

Please let me know if you’re interested and for that matter, anyone else who has a nice blog/site about Subaru’s or cars.

Thanks. :D
