Can't see why Subaru would use the worthless 2.5 engine.

It does not have the rev limit that the 2.0 has, the 2.5 has issues with the tune from factory for 5 years in a row now which can cause piston or ring failure among other issues caused by the tune and not enought R&D. The 2.0 motors have been used forever in the WRX's and STI's in Japan since the GC body style and have been a very good engine with tons of reliability and upgrades.

USDM cars seem to be watered down from the JDM versions but once these two become one of the same I think the US market will be much happier.

Of course there is not a replacement for displacement but in this case unsure reliability is out outweighed by proven engineering of the 2.0, capable of producing well over
500 HP built.

Of course we will all be driving these stock for awile so the grin that appears on our faces as the RPM shoots toward the Red Line and the smile becomes larger from ear to ear and the sinister snicker leaks out followed by uncontroled histerical laughter must be present in order to keep the following that Subaru has achieved over the years.

This is what we the Tuners expierence every time we pilot our rides down the road so I hope the right decision is made from the get go, just a thought...
