Subaru to begin testing new WRC Impreza this fall

The Subaru World Rally team have revealed that they are ‘on schedule’ with their new WRC challenger and that testing with the new Impreza WRC should begin in the next few months.
Since the first images of the WRC ‘concept car’ were released a few weeks ago, details have been thin on the ground, other than the fact the car will be officially unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, with number one driver, Petter Solberg in attendance.

Euro 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX goes on sale in November 2007
First of all lets get this straight; as we anticipated and despite what UK motoring press supported in the previous months, Europe will get the WRX. Like its US sibling, it’ll be fitted with a 2.5L turbocharged boxer engine producing 230 Hp (vs 224Hp of the US version). Sales of the 2008 Impreza WRX hatch will start in Europe this November.
