Next Subaru Forester 2009?
A purported official design sketch of the 2009 Subaru Forester has begun circulating on the web. The redesigned crossover reflects Subaru’s changing design language, which is moving away from the unpopular propeller-inpired look of the original B9 Tribeca.
The new Forester will be built on the new Impreza’s platform, with obvious modifications for off-road use. Engine choices are expected to mirror those of the Impreza as well.
Most other details remain a mystery, but look for an official debut in the next few months — possibly at the Detroit auto show.

better than ever
Looks good. The current Forester has always looked a tad bland, IMHO. Brilliant to own though. A friend has owned one for 4 years and there isn’t a single squeaking sound inside. Good engine, but fuel economy could be better.
I hope the new one looks as good as it does in the sketches, costs the same as the current one and can beat a Cayenne round the Nurburgring. Don’t think it’ll happen, but I’m still hoping.
Forester this good? wow! a small SUV which looks like a Rav4 and an outlander on the sides but a bit smaller in size? oh yeah! by the way, the front of that forester kicks ass. i think subaru should also include a nice and an efficient engine like an option for a lower than 2.0 displacement
