More fresh Spy Shots of the upcoming legend - 2008 Impreza STI
Following on the heels of an official teaser image released by Subaru earlier today, spy photographers have spotted a nearly undisguised 2008 Impreza WRX STI lapping the Nürburgring. The spy shots confirm the WRX STI will have a large hood scoop, budging fenders and will wear a unique front bumper.
The new photos also reveal that the newest STI will have quad-exhaust and a rear diffuser. Overall, the STI treatment gives the Impreza a much more aggressive look.
Subaru has yet to release engine specs on the car, but it is expected that the STI will use a turbocharged boxer engine rated at 300 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque. The Subaru Impreza WRX STI is set to debut at next month’s Tokyo Motor Show.

so fucking hot!!!
SO SO SO HOT!!!! it looks better than the photoshoped verisions, I NEED MONEY
agree, so really cool!
I am going to put down a deposit the second it is officially announced by the dealers. I have heard that it is to be released in February, November, and as late as March anyone know when it will be released.
I don’t think this will be the new STI (hope), probably a Group N test mule, you can easily see the two holes under front and rear doors that Rally teams use for lift the car in the service parks!
I went to a local dealer here in St. Louis about 2 months ago to trade in my R32 on a STi pre-order. They said come back on Monday (this was Thursday) because they were authorized to pre-order even the STi by Subaru. I came back that next Monday and they said that they were just informed that Saturday by Subaru USA not to pre-order the STi because major mods where being considered to make it faster than last year. Didn’t sound like bull**** because what dealer would NOT take your money. They said they would call the minute they got word that they can pre-order and they haven’t called yet
Looks Great. The front end looks sleek.
