Subaru Impreza wins D1 drift championship!
Team Orange dominates as Kumakubo gets the championship title and Tanaka snags the final win!
Kazuhiro Tanaka of Team Orange finished the 2007 D1 Series with a win, and his team orange mate Nobushige Kumakubo took the 2007 Series points win.
While the tournament took place the weather conditions shifted from dry to wet while Tanaka beat out his fellow team mate Kumakubo to advance to the finals.
Matched up against the 3 time Irwindale winner Kazama, the two battled it out on the famous Irwindale embankment. The first run determined Kazama to have more intensity however Tanaka had closed in on him at the hairpin turn. With the score even, Kazama ends up spinning out on the second run after attempting to close in on Tanaka. Tanaka claims his second victory in the D1 series after his victory in round 3 of the 2003 series where the battle took place in heavy snow.

omg, awesome! love that bmw-style holes on the bottom of the car! lol!!
is it hard to convert famous subaru awd to rear-wheel-drive? u can’t drift on awd so cool, as u can on rwd
actually awd could be ‘drifted’ but it won’t produce a cool ‘crab-walk’ manuever as a rwd could.
When I be older I will become Pro Drift driver in Formula Drift but it hard to figure out which car I choose car EVO or STI.
