Man, whats going on with Subie? I wish that they still had their 2005 look!

The 08 STi and the EvoX both do not appeal my tastes, though imo the EvoX does look a lot better. Based on looks, if these concepts do make it to final production, I think that I had rather get American muscle.

to bad thats the concept for 2006 japan is a year ahead when looking at the numbers my07 = 2006

Damn!! WTF!! I don’t know what it is with these Japanese guys; Nissan and their new Skyline, Mitsubishi with their EVOX, Toyota with their Supra concept, and now Subaru and their new STi !!!

Why can’t we go back to the vintage look? Come on!!

Nissan we prefer the R34 GTR, Mitsubishi we loved the EVO IV-VIII, the ever legendary Toyota Supra MKIV, and I’ve got to hand it to Subaru when they released the ‘05 STi, it was a hit, but who could forget the original first generation STi.

Let’s not get all crazy and funky with the looks of these cars. We fall in love because of the originals, not the CRAZIEST.

its really a shame to corroborate once more how expansionism corrups the spiryt and escence of a model. this guys have turned their backs to the people that appreciate them most. i only hope that the impreza get the same future of the mustang. iam really dissapointed.

UGLY……….. i might buy 05 or 06 sti ( not getting 07 for sure ) , even the New evo X ( ugly toooo ) why the hell 2007 cars are down . . . . . .

I like both the evo and the sti, but if the 07 modles are going to be that ugly they better be much much faster.

don’t ever compare japanese performance sedans to american muscle cars coz they do not inhabit the same planet. american cars are way bigger and have higher displacements while the likes of Evo and Wrx have smaller 4 cyclinder motors, smaller bodies and are perfectly suited for the smaller asians. but they are more agile and offer tremendous oomph at a lower price.

remember people there’s always aftermarket parts to modify the front, back and sides of the car. I totally buy one or the other then drop in some cash on either rides.

as for the amrican vs japanese cars goes don’t give me that tired shit all over again. lets get things straight a muscle cars is what it is all muscle good on going fast on a staight line on the other hand a japanese car is a well balanced car off the lot. for people saying an american muscle car would spank a a japanese car that’s only true on some parts, but if you were to take that stock jap car and put some money on parts, that jap car is going to tear up the american car.

i think subarus are wicked we have on one of our own a 2004 subaru i think u shoud still be making them

i don´t like the “o” on the grill, and the nose is like a f1, like mercedes slr. this is a rally car not a f1, i´ll rather something more stronge lifted image.

I wanted to buy and STI in a few years but if the STI is going to be a hatchback I am going to go with the EVO. I love the current STI but I hate that 2008 hatch concept, its BUTT UGLY!!!!, its COYOTE UGLY!!!!!

this is a far cry out to subaru and mitsubhishi not to make the new impreza and evo as they plan and to keep the 2006 designs they are the best i have ever seen from both companys and look better than all fo ther rivals so if any subaru and evo designers read this please take note of what i have said

I wonder how and why people like to spell things wrong. Not even by accident, but on purpose. Maybe it’s just me, but it’s sort of hard to read.

I don’t like how Subaru is going with the hatchback/futuristic look, but none of these pictures are actually for real. The Evo doesn’t look good to me, it looks sort of like a fish (now that concept is actually out). I’m a fan of the old school look, like the 00-03 WRX and the Evo VII. Even further back is even better, like the GC chassis.

AHHH scooby’s r just going downhill now! They should hav just kept with the impreza 2000 WRX model, a whole load of shit has happend with scooby’s in these past 7 years, i mean c’mon what the hell is the 07 impreza all about it looks absolutely hangin :c(

subaru Wrx Vs Wrx Sti
everyday driving . i will be putting 50,000 miles per year ( if i keep the car for 3 years ) i would have around 150,000 miles .

should i buy the regular wrx or the sti
( i dont wanna have ti get the car fixed ) cuz i am putting tooo many miles ……i think Sti would require higher maintenance

advice me : wrx having to put 150,000 miles in 3-4 years ?

the classic shape was the best, and still is the best, 99% of people would prefer the classic shape, all these new subarus are just ugly, tryin to make them look modernised and futuristic just dont work, sorry but its a no no from me.

I agree with the comments about the classic shape being the best, it looked good was lighter, faster and rawer than the new shapes. The best Evo shapes were, in my opinion, the V & VI.
Subaru better bring out the 2 door rumored to be coming out and scrap the hatch!

The Lancer Evolution will absolutly destroy that Impreza when Mitsubishi re enters the World Rally series. The Evo although its new looks will take getting used to, will Be the true champ once again!!

Im sad that the new shape made it to production, the Lancer Evolution was always defined by its shape, MITSUBISHI - YOU HAVE KILLED THE EVOLUTION, Bring back the old shape please!!! Ok ok so we have the age old fight, American or…..that other stuff. If you guys want to drive around in your little toy japanese cars that you can barley fit in, and eat you raw fish with rice, put little stickers of a language that you can’t even read on the side of your gaudy paint job and your car sounds like it just passed gas when you step on the accelerator, go right ahead.
Now if you want a real “mans” car that rubbles past you with leg room, class and a style that will never grow old or be forgotten, not to mention gets the ladies.When you boys grow up and come to the American side of things, We will have are Mustangs, Cameros and Dodge Challengers ruling the streets. But remember they are not toys and they don’t have plastic gear shifters and glowing lights under them. They have pride, power and passion and that what makes a mans car his.
Long live American muscle long live America. As you see the Japanese have lost any kind of style.

If it only came out like this… sigh oh well on the brighter side, the toyoburu is coming. Hopefully they will do that right.
