Um where to start, well first of all i agree that Evo and Sti owners get a little to pissed off maybe that is just because the cars are so close to the same thing. But I will say that there is no way in hell a stock M3 or GTO could ever hope to keep up with an Sti or evo even on the track it would be really sad race. And how bad they would get raped and around the corers would be like racing a "school bus vs a go-kart" the owners of these cars will say otherwise but they have to have justify spending 30-40k on there junk. The M3 isn't awful, it has really nice interior plus the class of owning a BMW. But the GTO is a real POS the only place i would drive that car is off a cliff. And the SRT-4 although being a cool little car is underpowered 224hp stock around the same as a stock WRX i don't know who said it could beat an evo but they lied to you it's a FWD car and so the underster would be quite awful and the car was ment as more as a novelty for dodge rather than a flagship." the driver must be experienced to get passed the 3000 rpm to use the full power of the turbo". If your havening problems getting past 3000RPM then apply more gas , glade i could clear that one up for ya. and on a side note when i think of "cars for men" generally the Crown Victoria doesn't come to mind

From many things that I see and many websites. From people who drives them dress them up and comments. From how the driving feels, maintainability, and performance. I only believe in STI. True that EVO is just as good... better in some that we can see clearly .. but Engine won't give out as much at all. The leaking problem is always there. The boxer engine is a better engineer too. I can go on for all day long... but for the record.... STI has won way many more awards than the EVO.

you are all morons, and speaking from a place of ignorance...The evo is one of the most finely tuned 4 door chassis in the world, engine under too much strain? have you ever driven one ? (I have multiple times at the edge) it begs you to go fast with no sign of fatigue or raggedness, it has a well put together engine to bolster the performance of its chassis and driveline. As far as the claims of it being pushed to hard its only making 16psi (compared to the Subarus 14.5) at peak RPM 21psi in the middle but unlike the Subaru it has forged internals inside of an engine w/ 20+ years of R&D experience through Racing models and factory models alike(4G63). Also you might want to note that the U.S. versions don't have some of the techno wizardry in the stability/traction management department, Less Refined? the STi is the one that has any stereo at all as an option, and nothing with pink badging, gold wheels, and a massive wing accompanied by econobox interior is refined (which by the way wasn't the goal in either of these cars), you are confusing power deliver with refinement, due to the US specs increased displacement boost comes sooner and is a little torquer down low but thats not the case in the international versions, which I only bring up because they were brought up earlier. The fact is that both cars are very obvious about there performance, as that was the goal, performance, in a four door chassis, and thats what they gave you, I say these things not to down the STi as I plan to trade my Cobalt SS in on one within the next year (e-mail me if you have one for sale) but just to clue a few people in and make you aware of your misgivings. and by the way, the STi also employs a quite a bit of technology to attain its handling abilities, despite the tendency to oversteer at the edge, the oversteer is predictable and therefore forgiving if you deserve forgiveness... point blank, watch your mouth when spouting your ill conceived opinions...god forbid anyone made any decisions around them.

Hey, lol, you seem to be smart about what cars to get, but drifting??? Are you serious. Sorry to laugh, but just to let you know, and to answer your question, drifting is illegal. My friend got pulled over and ticketed for squealing his wheels (not even burning out!) when coming out of HIS driveway. If you want o learn drifting for real, take your car to a parking lot somewhere rural and try doing donuts. That's all I have to say.

But, you are somewhat right about what you said about the sti being faster. I am an sti lover. BUT, both cars pushed to their limits, the evo does beat it. In the straights AND around turns. BUT not by enough to make me buy it! Why you might ask... right??? Well, the sti, put simple, was made better. The engines last longer, and the interior is BY FAR better. If you test drive them, you may like the evo better, but I guarantee that you'll "take your time" in the sti, SO comfortable and so much easier on the eyes!

Shitty impreza, hey man, I'll let your own misconceptions destroy you, I don't even need bash you for being a retard. Have fun admiring or owning a car that has an engine under too much strain, and too much brain to have fun in. Your amature call, not mine!
First of all the evo is not made as sturdy or reliable as the sti, second of all, you get what you pay for 30k as opposed to 35k. The evo is ALL brains, you tell the car where you WANT it to go, instead of actually going there yourself. Second of all, the all wheel drive system in he sti comes from Subaru... DUH that's what Subaru specializes in and that's all they make (with the exception of a few cars). Third of all, the INTERIOR!!! if your smart, you'll get a WELL ROUNDED car. The evo is JUST... yes it is JUST a suped out family sedan! Did you hear me!?!?! A freaking family sedan. And on top of that, it's a plain and dull family sedan on the inside, very ugly actually.

Next time, do some homework instead of just claiming a car is better due to it being faster, and barely noticeable may I add!!!!!!!!

Next time, do some homework instead of just claiming a car is better due to it being faster, and barely noticeable may I add!!!!!!!!

Guys,

I have tested both vehicles and believe that both can smoke expensive
cars. These cars were made for this. Yes, the STI is a more refine car and the other needs some work, but it doesn't mean that the EVO is a weakling. The EVO is a tenth faster, but the STI handles better in tough
terrain. Both can do the job. They are king of the roads. I will always
pick the STI, because it reminds me of the old muscle cars. These cars are no joke. As I said above they smoke almost anything out there.

i would say the fq400 will answer the sti calls. i haven't heard any story of sti beating a lamborghini on the track and the evo did that. i also heard evo mr beating cayman s in roland heights recently because the cayman s driver is a newbie. i heard story that sti loses to GTO and to M3. If the sti wins these cars then i would agree with you that sti can " rape " evo. it is not easy to drive the stock evo either. the driver must be experienced to get passed the 3000 rpm to use the full power of the turbo. in fact both sti and evo are considered by many cars for boys ! because both have wings. the cars for men are those traditional mercedes and caddilac or ford crown victoria, etc. i would leave the discussion about sti vs. evo and focus on the competition with M3 or GTO or SRT-8. The junior SRT-4 if slightly modded probably will beat an sti fairly easily. In fact a heavily modded SRT-4 will give the modded sti no chance ! japan still have a long way to go though given that i am a supporter of sti and evo. i also want to take it a bit further. can the gtr skyline beat the porsche 911 turbo ? on paper yes but on the streets no and i bet with a good driver the 911 will smoke the gtr any day !

truly the sti is faster because it is not cheap like the evo where it runs on a bigger turbo and more psi and with the mi vec the evo is nothing compared to the sti also with its active yal control the evo is being helped on the turns not like the subaru where the sti is raw and it is not running on the cheap computers........ and still the sti's the 2005 models looses by a hair and the 2006 models are much quicker and responsive so the 2006 model out runs the evo 9 mr anytime. well the mr is all the mitsubishi has got not like the subaru where there is the spec-c that rapes evo's doesn't matter what model and there are more like the ra, ra-r, S204......... these are much faster than the evo's and also the fq400 is not worth the money and it has problems....... the sti is pretty much the faster car I guess the spec-c is too fast for america that is why they won't bring it here not like mitsubishi they have there fastest model here in the u.s. the mr so sti out runs the evo by alot.also don't think the evo are just fast because the evo is a forgiving car so even the shittest drive can look good in it because the mi vec and the active yal control helps the driver the whole time to make the car look like its performing amazingly unlike the subaru it is unforgiving where if you don't know how to drive it you are screwed the car is not going to listen and the performance is not going to be as great as it should be the subaru is raw no hi tech...............the evo is hi tech so the sti is the winner out ofthe two rivals! Sti is the way to go hands down...... Drivers out there would want to beat a computer helped systemed car with a car that isn't so that is one of the reasons why some would choose the Sti over an evo anytime........... The spec-c is the much better than the cheap mrs. ......... The Sti is for the real men and the Evo is considered for the young boys............ You either go manly or immature....... I would go manly rather than a car that hasn't grown pubs yet...................
